Thanks to an initiative called Scopes4SEN, which was started by Patrick Poitevin and donates telescopes to organisations and locations that support Special Educational Needs (SEN), students and staff at Ruskin Mill College in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, will now be able to experience the world around them from a completely new perspective.

Delivered to Janine Christley, Ruskin Mill Trust’s Director of Fundraising, to our site at Horsley Mill, the telescope was soon put together by Land Tutor Tim Gallagher and one of our students, Luke.

Scopes4SEN has so far donated over 800 telescopes to SEN focused organisations, along with other educational material. To find out more about the initiative, visit
