TransPennine Express Grant!
Here at the Ruskin Mill Trust, we are delighted to have been successfully voted for in this year’s TransPennine Express Transform Grant!
This means we can introduce a Ridan Composter to our SEN provisions in Sheffield, enabling us to create a circular food economy between produce grown at our High Riggs Biodynamic Garden, and food waste generated by our city centre Freeman College and public facing Fusion café. This nutritional and social mission will really innovate our students learning experience when working with the land, whilst also promoting a healthy recycling ethos and creating a legacy of sustainability within our community.

As of this week, the Ridan has safely been installed at the High Riggs site, despite the adverse weather conditions threatening the delivery! So now we can efficiently recycle 100% of our food waste and reduce our contribution to landfill, helping to save our planet one step at a time. Thank you TransPennine Express for this wonderful opportunity!
