Nailsworth Festival Exhibition
An exhibition of photography and more by Walter Lewis
Thoughts are ever more strongly turning to the concept of ‘local’, the framework for the new world that we need.
Everyone can stop buying say, cabbages from Spain, and find local ones in high street shops and farmers’ markets. Such simple action could provide the catalyst for more robust local economies and enterprises, out of which could arise some radical, long term ideas. Organic growing, never mind biodynamic, can be hard for everyone to get their head around but seeking out the local is a very doable thing, and quite fundamental to a sustainable future.
The closing event on Friday 14 June will be an evening of discussion and celebration of all things local. The details are to be confirmed but there will be a talk and a warm invitation to the floor to contribute, livened up by a bit of music!
Venue: Ruskin Mill, Old Bristol Road, Nailsworth GL6 0LA
Parking at Ruskin Mill is only for disabled visitors. We strongly advise, where possible, that you walk the short distance from Nailsworth, where the nearest available public car park is next to the Town Hall as you turn onto the Old Bristol Road towards Horsley.
