Exhibition: Dunbar St. revisited – Ruskin Mill College

Wednesday 24 April - Wednesday 15 May

Dunbar St. revisited
Simon Packard

First shown at the Museum in The Park,Stroud, in 2013, this group of woodblock prints and drawings were made over a 10 year period leading up to exhibition. Featuring both colour and monochrome prints their source triggers are wide ranging: William Morris designs; stained glass windows; electricity pylons; old wallpapers and artefacts from museums.
This is an embryonic pathway for textiles and one that involves hand printing direct same-scale stencils from woodblocks transferred to silkscreens; upholstery fabric will be featured in the exhibition. All fabric lengths are printed to order.
